At least 3 people were killed as 10 got injured in a Philadelphia mass shooting on Saturday night, police have announced.
Police told the media that gunfire erupted in the South Street neighborhood of the city, near 3rd Street around midnight.
Patrolling officers heard several gunshots and rushed to the area. They claimed to have seen “several active shooters’ ‘ firing into the crowd, according to Inspector DF Pace. The inspector also disclosed that one of the responding officers shot one of the attackers but they don’t know if he was hit.
Cops claim that at least one shooter dropped their gun, which was equipped with an extended magazine. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the police found two firearms at the scene.
The cops disclosed that a 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were among the deceased at the scene. 6 injured people were rushed to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital while 5 others were taken to Pennsylvania Hospital.

The condition of the victims is not yet known but the police claim that no officer was injured in the shooting.
Before this shooting on Saturday, there were 9 separate shooting incidents in Philadelphia between Friday night and Saturday. No arrests have been made in any of these incidents.
