The new adopted payment option will be in partnership with Flexa, a digital payment platform that supports payment using 98 digital currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

To access this payment option, customers are advised to download the Gemini or SPEDN app which store digital assets.

In a bid to encourage customers to make payments using the newly adopted payment option, the Mexican restaurant is giving a 10% discount to customers who make their next purchase with any digital currency in a Flexa-enabled app.

This won’t be the first time the restaurant has explored the cryptocurrency space. It had previously announced last year that it would give away $100,000 in free burritos and $100,000 in bitcoin to celebrate National Burrito Day.

Just this year, the restaurant launched its cryptocurrency and Burrito Builder on Roblox (RBLX) platform.

Speaking about the new development, Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter said that the adoption of this new payment option will benefit both the restaurant and its customers.
