The fashion visionary who served as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh has passed away aged 41.

Abloh died on Sunday after a private battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.

A post on the deceased’s official Instagram page confirmed his death, revealing that he suffered from the disease for 2 years.

Asides from his role at Louis Vuitton, Abloh founded streetwear brand Off-White and was also the CEO of the company.

At Louis Vuttion, the 41-year-old was the first Black artistic director and among the few black designers in the design powerhouse.

The CEO of Louis Vuitton expressed shock at the death of the outstanding designer, labeling him a visionary and a man with great wisdom.
