United States President-elect Joe Biden on Monday won the Electoral College state-by-state votes that formally affirms his victory as the incumbent president of the US.
The state of California which has the largest number of voters delivered its 55 electoral votes to Biden.
Consequently, the former vice president moved way ahead the 270 votes needed to constitutionally secure the White House.
Based on results of the November 3 presidential elections, Joe Biden garnered 306 Electoral College votes to Donald Trump’s 232 votes.
In the various battleground states like Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada where President Trump has unsuccessfully made attempts to reverse the outcome all for Biden and Kamala Harris candidature.
Traditionally, the Electoral College votes, set by federal law is a formality. The exercise however became significant in the last few weeks given sitting president Trump’s resolve to overturn the electoral results with ckaoms of widespread frauds in several States.
