The president of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani has reportedly left the country after Taliban militants claimed Kabul and demanded the surrender of the government.
According to Sky News, Ashraf Ghani has fled to Tajikistan, based on information gotten from a senior official.
Out of the country’s 34 provincial capitals, only 7 are yet to fall to the Taliban after the military failed to repel their attacks.

Foreigners in Kabul have been told to either evacuate the country or inform Taliban administrators about their presence.
Both the United States and the United Kingdom have sent in troops to evacuate their citizens from Afghanistan.
UK prime minister Boris Jackson has revealed that they will be working with the security council of the United Nations to stop the country from becoming a breeding ground for terror.
Taliban has revealed that the country will soon be declared the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”.
