What is Twitter’s blue tick?
Blue tick on Twitter is a verification badge that the platform hands out to notable accounts. This badge makes it easier for fans and other Twitter users to identify celebrities’ real accounts from parody.
Elon Musk is yet to reply to Riyad Mahrez’s tweet but this hasn’t stopped fans from joining in on the fun.
An Elon Musk parody account replied saying “Win a UEFA Champions League and I’ll consider it.”
Mahrez is enjoying a stellar season in attack for Manchester City. He has 32 direct goal contributions in 43 appearances for the club in all competitions this season.
