Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that one of his newborn twins has passed away.
The footballer and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez had announced that they were expecting twins at the end of October last year. However, the 37-year-old revealed on Easter Monday that their baby boy had passed away.

Ronaldo shared his grief by revealing that “it is the greatest pain that any parent can feel”
In the same post, the football star confirmed that his daughter was alive by saying:
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live in this moment with some hope and happiness.”
The Portugal national team captain also thanked the doctors and nurses for their care and support and asked for privacy while the family mourns.
Current club, Manchester United released a statement offering their support to the football star in a post on Twitter.

The club said:
“Your pain is our pain, Cristiano. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time.”
Ex-club Real Madrid and the Portuguese national football team also offered their condolences via Twitter.
