The 29-year-old playmaker Christian Eriksen has returned to professional football after suffering a health scare at Euro 2020, last year.
The Danish midfielder was offered a short-term contract to the end of the 2021-22 campaign, as the club aims to steer clear of relegation from the top flight.
Eriksen has been away from football since a cardiac arrest that happened while representing Denmark at the European Championships.
Regulations in Italy had prevented him from returning to Italy, which resulted in the club terminating his contract.
The former Tottenham star is however clear to resume his career in the Premier League after being fitted with a defibrillator.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who worked with Christian Eriksen in the national youth system of Denmark, told the club’s official website that he is looking forward to working with the footballer.
“We have taken an unbelievable opportunity to bring a world-class player to Brentford. He hasn’t trained with a team for seven months but has done a lot of work on his own. He is fit but we will need to get him to match fit and I am looking forward to seeing him work with the players and staff to get back towards his highest level.”
Brentford sits eight points above the Premier League drop zone at present and is set to face league leaders Manchester City in their next match in the League.
