Chelsea will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of this season’s UEFA Champions League after the two clubs were drawn against each other in Friday’s draw at Nyon. This tie is a repeat of last season’s semi-final match in which the English club came out on top.
The defending champions of the European competition will first travel to Bernabeu for the first leg on the 6th of April before the second tie in Stamford Bridge a week later.
Whoever progress from the tie will face either Manchester City or Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.
Reacting to the draw during Chelsea’s pre-match conference ahead of the FA Cup match against Middlesbrough, manager Thomas Tuchel described it as a tough one but added that it was also going to be exciting.

In the other Champions League quarter-final ties, Liverpool will play Benfica, with the winner of the tie facing either Villarreal or Bayern Munich.
The Reds will travel for the first leg in Portugal before welcoming Benfica to Anfield a week later.
