News of Lawlor and Bout’s departure has sparked rumors of an exodus at the club as it has failed to win a Premier League title since the retirement of Ferguson in 2013. This is despite the club investing more than £1 billion on transfers between that period and now.

Erik Ten Hag

Meanwhile, the club has begun its rebuilding process by snatching Ajax’s current manager, Erik Ten Hag. Football journalist, Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement has been reached for the Ajax boss and will be announced in the coming days.
