Burna Boy and Wizkid are Nominated for Best International Act at BET Awards 2021
Without a doubt, two of our favourite Nigerian artistes are dominating the BET 2021 awards. Burna Boy and Wizkid have been nominated in the same category -Best International Act for the 2021 BET Awards.
The nominees of this year’s award show showcased an overflow of creative expression and Black’s greatness across several industries like film, music, sports and television.
Burna Boy had won the Best International Act category during the last two editions of the award.
Other artists to be nominated in the same category as the two are Diamond Platnumz, Youssoupha, Aya Nakamura, Headie One, Emacida, and Young T and Bugsey.
BET Awards was one of the few official awards that carried on despite the pandemic last year.
The award company is now ready to move its pioneer status higher with the return of its wonderful audience to celebrate the outstanding and brightest creative minds across the entertainment industry.
The nominees for the Best Actress category are Zendaya, Issa Rae, Jurnee Smollett, Andra Day, and Angela Bassett. While the nominees for the Best Actor category are: Daniel Kaluuya, Aldis Hodge, Eddie Murphy, Damson Idris, Lakeith Stanfield and Chadwick Boseman.

DaBaby got the top spot after being nominated in seven categories, including Album of the Year, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, and Viewer’s Choice Award.
Female rapper Megan Thee Stallion also got nominated in seven categories including Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration and Album of the Year.
