Rihanna’s Boyfriend, A$AP Rocky Arrested for Shooting

• A$AP Rocky was arrested on Wednesday at Los Angeles Airport in connection to a shooting that happened in November last year

• The rapper was booked into jail by the police department but managed to secure bail for $550,000

• Rocky is currently in a relationship with billionaire musician, Rihanna, with whom he’s expecting a first child

American rapper, Rakim Mayers, popularly known as A$AP Rocky was arrested on Wednesday at the Los Angeles International Airport.

The musician was picked up upon arrival on a private plane from Barbados, where he had been on vacation with his girlfriend, Rihanna.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Mayers’ arrest was due to his connection to a shooting incident that happened in November last year.

TMZ reports that Rihanna was with the rapper when he was arrested and a search warrant was executed at his residence in Los Angeles.

The arrest was also confirmed by Mayer’s attorney, Alan Jackson who revealed that his client was booked into jail. The L.A County Sheriff’s Department booking report shows that bail was set at $550,000.

A$AP Rocky was released less than 3 hours after the arrest after posting bonds and a court date has been set for August 17.

The rapper is a suspect in a November 6 shooting that happened near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue around 10:20 p.m.

The victim claims to have been approached and attacked by Mayers and two others on the street. He also alleged to have been shot at 3 times with a handgun as one of the bullets grazed his hand.
