
Nigeria’s female disc jockey turned activist, DJ Switch has accused President Buhari of running a dictatorial government with a democratic face.

She made this allegation when she had an exclusive interview with CNN’s Becky Anderson on Wednesday, 18 November.
The popular DJ was one of many protesters present at the Lekki Toll Plaza on October 20,v when military operatives allegedly drafted from Bonny Camp, Lagos arrived at the toll gate and opened fire on the unarmed peaceful protesters. She streamed live the shooting that day and thereafter joined a list of #ENDSARS promoters on the government’s spotlight.
DJ Switch who described herself as being lucky while giving an account of what happened on the night of the shooting accused the government of President Muhammad Buhari of arresting and prosecuting dissidents by freezing their bank accounts and seizing traveling passport amongst other measures to subdue and intimidate the protesters.
She went on to further revealed how her career as a disc jockey has been prematurely cut short because of the compelling evidences she holds against the government.
“My career is gone, all my bookings are gone. But I am happy that I have used my platform to do this. I don’t want to run forever. I want to go back home, I don’t care if they pick me when I get home,” she said.
DJ Switch’s interview is coming almost a month after scores of young Nigerians were shot by security operatives at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos with many dead or missing and even much more sustaining life threatening injuries.
