Mexican Billionaire Supports Bitcoin Against Dollar

  • Mexico’s third-richest man Ricardo Salinas Pliego has urged people to stay away from fiat currencies
  • The billionaire listed Bitcoin as a better alternative to dollar and euro, which he called “fake money made of paper and lies,”
  • Salinas claimed that the central banks are printing more money than ever before

Mexican third-richest person, Ricardo Salinas Pliego has taken to Twitter to issue financial advice along with his holiday greetings.

Salinas who founded Grupo Salinas a group of companies with ventures in tech, communication, and retail market, slammed fiat currency.

The billionaire urged his followers to stay away from fiats, calling them fake money made of paper and lies.

As an alternative to the dollar, yen, peso, and euro, Salinas called on people to invest in flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

The billionaire’s tweet can be seen below:

Stay away from fiat money. The dollar, the euro, the yen, or the peso — they are all the same story. It’s fake money made of paper and lies. The central banks are printing more money than ever before. Invest in bitcoin.”

This is not the first time that the Mexican business tycoon has shown support for BTC. In June, he announced plans for his bank to accept BTC.

“I recommend the use of bitcoin, and me and my bank are working to be the first bank in Mexico to accept bitcoin,”

In December, he also disclosed that his retail chain, Grupo Elektra had started accepting Bitcoin as payment.
