Award-winning artist Mariah Carey has joined the ever-increasing number of celebrities preaching the crypto gospel.

The superstar recently took to social media to encourage her followers to invest in cryptocurrency.

Carey recently partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Gemini and they’ll offer $20 in free bitcoin to anyone who is signing up for a trading account.

The musician made the offer to her 21.6 million followers on Twitter and 10.2 million fans on Instagram, even posting a video explaining what they stand to benefit.

“I’m partnering with Gemini to give my fans $20 in free bitcoin,”

According to Carey, the initiative aims to support the non-profit “Black Girls Code”.

Black Girls Code is an NGO that is dedicated to increasing the number of black women in the technological space.

Users will be given the $20 bonus when they sign up on Gemini using her referral code. She noted that the offer is only available to new users.
