Former U.S. President Donald Trump was featured in an interview by Fox Business on Tuesday and he had a lot to say about cryptocurrency.

Donald Trump

The controversial businessman was asked if he dabbled in crypto and his response was huge slamming of the assets.

Trump claimed that he doesn’t own any cryptocurrency because the only currency that he likes is the US dollar.

The ex-president claimed that other cryptocurrencies hurt the US dollar and they are a “disaster waiting to happen”.

“I like the currency of the United States. I think the others are potentially a disaster waiting to happen.”

Trump believes that Americans should be more invested in their currency rather than Bitcoin and other cryptos. Going further, he claimed that such coins could be fake.

“They [cryptocurrencies] may be fake, who knows what they are.”

The former president however admitted that cryptocurrency is something that a lot of people know nothing about.

This is not the first time that Donald Trump will slam Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Earlier this year, the former POTUS claimed that Bitcoin seems like a scam. He revealed that he doesn’t want any other currency to be competing with the dollar.

Bitcoin

World’s number one cryptic trench Bitcoin is currently trading at $47,500 while the entire crypto current market cap stands at $2.1 Trillion.
