Tesla may be set to accept meme cryptocurrency, Dogecoin as payment for their electric vehicles.

The CEO of the company, Elon Musk recently posted a poll on Twitter, asking users to vote on it.

Although it is unlikely to take this as anything more than a joke, it didn’t stop users from voting.

It will be remembered that Tesla began accepting Bitcoin payments for its vehicles in March this year.

The option is currently open to only customers in America, although it a expected to be extended to other areas in the coming years.

Dogecoin was originally created as a meme coin in 2013. Over the past few months, its popularity has risen and so has its value.

Doge is now the fourth largest crypto by market cap, with a value of $63.5 Billion.


It is currently down by 1.45% for the day, trading at $0.4908.
