SpaceX, a private space exploration company owned by Elon Musk is set to launch its internet service in Nigeria.

The news was passed by the Market Access Director of the company for Africa Ryan Goodnight, during a meeting with Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

According to Goodnight, Nigeria has been identified as one of the critical marketplaces in Africa.

SpaceX launched its internet service provider faction called Starlink in 2020.

The company provides satellite internet service using over 1000 satellites installed in space.

The service is dedicated to the internet needs of consumers in rural areas.

Star link is capable of delivering internet with a speed of up to 150Mbps to any part of the planet.

The monthly cost of the internet access in areas where it has been launched is $100, along with an initial $500 for installation.

Although SpaceX’s internet access is certain to be more expensive than others in Nigeria, it is sure to bring something different.
