Cryptocurrency: Italy Becomes The 3rd National Team to Launch Fan Token

• Italy has become the third national team to launch its blockchain-based Fan cryptocurrency token

• The football token was launched with Socios.com and as part of the deal, and as a part of the deal Socios will be the title sponsor of the Women’s Italian Cup

• Buying the token will give fans access to vote in polls, VIP rewards, and games around the national team

Chiliz has announced a collaboration with the Italian federation to launch a cryptocurrency fan token for the national team.

The fan token which is similar to cryptocurrency will be sold to fans of the national team, giving them a chance to vote in the team’s affairs.

The $ITA fan token will be launched in the coming weeks and it will be minted on the Chiliz blockchain. The country has not stated the price of the token or the amount that will be minted.

As part of the agreement between both parties, Socios will be the title sponsor of the Women’s Italian Cup for the next two years.

Fans who purchase these tokens will ha be the right to vote in polls, receive VIP rewards, as well as access to games and competitions based around the national team.

Holders of Italy’s token will also be able to compete against other fans in games and competitions to earn various benefits.

Italy is the third national team to announce a partnership with Socios after Argentina and Portugal did so earlier this year.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has disclosed that the money raised from the token will be used to promote to football movement in the country.
