The market cap of cryptocurrency globally is $2.11 trillion, an increase of 1.55% in the last 24 hours.
The positive movement in the market cap has been driven by a $1.3% increase in the value of flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
The world’ largest cryptocurrency is currently trading at $49,100, as it nears the psychological barrier of $50,000.
Since falling below $30,000 in July, Bitcoin has been able to recover strongly but it remains some way from its all-time high of $64,000.
It has been a mixed day for other cryptocurrencies in the market, with some being in green and others losing value.
The second-largest crypto asset in the world Ethereum is currently trading at $3,250, down by 0.44% in the last 24 hours.

Cardano is one of the biggest gainers of the day. The altcoin managed to rally to an all-time high of $2.46 on Saturday, becoming the third-largest cryptocurrency in the world based on market cap.
Other popular cryptos with gains in the last 24 hours are Litecoin(3.85%) and Filecoin(5.26%).
