The government has disclosed that the initiative aimed at curbing the spread of the COVID 19 among kids will begin next week.

The move has been described as a landmark for the country in the battle against the virus, with trials showing that the vaccine is 90% effective at protecting children from contracting the virus.

On Monday, White House response coordinator, Jeff Zients divulged that children will have access to the vaccines at medical clinics and health centers across the country.

He stated that some clinics could even begin administering the jabs this week, but the program will begin in full strength on November 8.

Zients also stated that there is a sufficient supply of the Pfizer vaccine and the government has been preparing for this moment for a long time.

The White House official stated that the COVID 19 vaccine doses to be administered are newly formulated because those being offered to adults cannot be used.
