Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that taking shots of the COVID-19 vaccine is not painful.
The Vice President made this statement after he and the President got vaccinated on Saturday.
Prof. Osinbajo also took time to appreciate the frontline workers, researchers, and scientists who were instrumental in the production of the vaccine.
Both President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo were vaccinated on live TV at the National Hospital, Abuja.
The initiative was to encourage other Nigerians and prove to them that the vaccine is not harmful.
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari has urged government officials and religious leaders to mobilize people to receive the vaccine.
Nigeria has received 3.9 million doses of the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine from the University of Oxford.

More doses of the vaccine are expected as the country plans to vaccinate 20% of the population in the coming months.
