COVID 19 Vaccine Enforcement: FG Maintains January 17th Deadline
The federal government has warned that its vaccination deadline for workers remains in place
Last year, the Federal Government has mandated the COVID 19 vaccine for all civil servants and set a deadline for January 17th, 2022
This is coming after the “Operation Show Your COVID-19 Vaccination Card, ” program that allowed only vaccinated Nigerians to enter government buildings
The federal government has warned that its January 17 deadline for vaccination among workers still stands.
From the said day, workers who have not been jabbed with the COVID 19 vaccine will not be allowed to access government buildings.
This update comes as civil servants in FCT rush to get vaccinated against COVID 19 before the ruling is enforced, according to the News Agency of Nigeria’s report.
“We are also elated because we are seeing large numbers of persons taking the jab; some are taking their second jab, while some taking booster jab. We are so happy about it. There is no going back, on Monday, Jan. 17, we are doing enforcement.”
During a vaccination exercise for government workers on Tuesday, he warned that officials will not accept pictures of vaccination cards on phones.
Attah added that the FG is seriously following up on this and the enforcement team would be deployed at the premises of FCTA to monitor this.
