Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro has been accused of a series of crimes over his handling of the COVID 19 pandemic.

These claims were made in a recently released report by the Brazilian Senate committee, led by opposition senator Renan Calheiros.

The report is a result of a six-month investigation and inquiry that have revealed scandals and corruption in government.

The president of the country, Jair Bolsonaro has been accused of failing to respond to the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic, leading to the death of 600,000 Brazilians.

The panel has demanded Bolsonaro face charges for crimes against humanity, charlatanism, and malfeasance.

Mr. Bolsonaro has dismissed the report, claiming that statements made by the opposition are politically motivated.

If he is however going to face charges for the claims, it is going to have to be brought before Brazil’s prosecutor-general – a presidential nominee whom Bolsonaro appointed.
