
8 European Countries Stop The Use Of The AstraZeneca Vaccine After Navy Officer Dies
-Eight European countries have suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine
-The vaccine has been reported to cause fatal blood clot which led to the death of a Navy officer
-The Oxford Vaccine was recently shipped to Nigeria and has been administered to some people
Eighth European countries have suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The countries are Italy, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, and Estonia.
The Oxford University-made vaccine has been reported to cause blood clots among users.
30 harmful incidents have been recorded among patients that used the vaccine, including one death in Denmark.
Denmark’s Health Minister announced the discontinuation of the vaccine. Although it is yet to be confirmed if the vaccine is responsible, the country is not willing to risk the lives of others.
Italy Prime minister, Mario Draghi also stopped shipment of the vaccine to the country after a Navy officer died.
The suspension of the vaccine is expected to last two weeks, during which time investigations will be carried out.

Nigeria recently received a shipment of almost 4 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The vaccine has been administered to the President and Vice President. It has also been distributed to states across the country.
