
3.5 Million People Receive COVID 19 Vaccine Full Dose in Nigeria

The federal government has disclosed that 3,487,298 eligible people in Nigeria have been administered the full COVID 19 vaccine dose.
The disclosure was made by the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Causal Shuaib while he was speaking at a mass vaccination exercise in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The NPHCDA boss also confirmed that 6,242,224 has received at least a dose of the vaccine as of Friday, November 26.
Shauibu however confirmed that Nigeria remains far from its vaccination target of 112 million of its eligible population.
He added that the federal government had to launch a mass vaccination campaign to keep the pandemic in check during the festive period.
The campaign is aimed at creating easy access to COVID 19 vaccine to prevent a fourth wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

“From the data above, it is clear that Nigeria is still far from reaching its target of vaccinating almost 112 million of its eligible population.’’
“The main aim of the mass vaccination campaign is to vaccinate 50 per cent of Nigeria’s eligible population by January 2022.”
Finally, the NPHCDA boss urged people to go out en masse and get vaccinated.
