Indian Billionaire Gautam Adani Joins Musk and Bezos in $100 Billion Club

Indian tycoon Gautam Adami, whose business extends across ports, mines, and green energy, has become the richest man in his country. The billionaire exceeded $100 billion in fortune on Friday, making him the 10th richest person in the world.

The amazing feat is down to great business strides made by the billionaire in 2022, which has helped him become the biggest wealth gainer for this year. Since the turn of the year, his fortune has surged by almost $24 billion.

Mukesh Ambani

Meanwhile, Adami’s compatriot rival, Mukesh Ambani has dropped out of the $100 billion club. The 64-year-old lost over $1 billion on Friday, pushing his wealth below the benchmark to $99 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Gautam Adani is the founder of the Adani Group, the biggest port operator in India, while its subsidiary, Adani power is the largest private power producer in the country. He is also the owner of Ahmedabad, an India-based infrastructure group that produces and trades thermal coal. As of March 31, 2022, Adani Group has a market capitalization of $157 Billion.
