Elon Musk has been all over the news in the past week, due to the Tesla CEO’s recent massive purchase of Twitter stocks.
The billionaire is yet in the news again after he decided not to join the social media company’s board of directors, despite being its largest shareholder.
The Tesla boss informed the board of directors of his decision on Monday morning and an announcement was made public by Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal on Monday morning.

According to Agrawal, Musk’s appointment to the board was set to be made official on 4/9, but the 50-year-old canceled out on that same morning. He went on to say that the decision was for the best and Musk’s input will be valued regardless of if he is on the board or not.
The decision has come as a shock to many, as Elon Musk had been vocal about policy changes that would be made to the social media company since his appointment was announced.
The SpaceX boss himself posted that he was looking forward to working with Parag and the rest of the Twitter board.
A statement is expected from Mr. Musk regarding his surprising and drastic decision in the near future.
