Forbes’ latest billionaires list has revealed that Tesla Inc CEO, Elon Musk’s fortune has increased to $282 billion. The latest estimate puts him almost $100 billion richer than Amazon Inc founder, Jeff Bezos. According to the latest Forbes list, Bezos has a net worth of $183.6 billion.
2021 was a good year for the SpaceX boss, as his wealth grew by almost $90 billion when Tesla shares hit a new high in November. At that point, the billionaire was worth $340.4 billion, before a decline that was caused by share sales and a drop in the stock value.

At press time, Mr. Musk also holds a wealth gap of $115 on the third richest man in the world, Bernard Arnault. The French billionaire, who is Europe’s richest, also stood at the summit of this list briefly in 2021.
Despite his huge gains in the past year, Elon Musk has been taking steps to further boost his fortune. The 50-year-old recently became Twitter’s largest shareholder when he purchased $2.8 billion worth of shares in the social media giant.
