On Wednesday, the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, alleged that some herdsmen attacked its operatives on a farm, in Akure, the Ondo State Capital.

It was reported that the clash happened on a farm in Osi community while the operatives of Amotekun were trying to settle a rift between the Herdsmen and some farmers in the community.

Herdsmen Attacks Amotekun in Ondo

Following a distress call that herdsmen and their catties were destroying farmlands, operatives of the agency moved to the community to resolve the issue.

However, according to the Commander of Amotekun in the State, Chief Adeyeye, the herdsmen quickly attacked his men but they were able to repel the attack and 16 cows were seized while one of the attackers was arrested with a dangerous weapon.
