Youths in Portharcourt led by Anita Natasha Akide, a former Big Brother Housemate who were earlier bent on defying the executive order made by the Governor of the state Nyesom Wike that all street demonstration that bothers on #ENDSARS should not hold anywhere within the state have finaly caved in.
The #ENDSARS protest has been raging on since last week as Nigerians troops out in major cities to call for the end of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a police unit notorious for illegal arrest, extortion, torture and murder.

“Gov. Wike, we flew into this state today to FIGHT FOR A BETTER NIGERIA! TO WALK THE WALK! TO FIGHT FOR A BETTER TODAY AND TOMORROW!! Why should we be DEPRIVED OUR RIGHT!!”

The government of River State had earlier given an order against street demonstration by #ENDSARS
In a statement released yesterday, the River State government warned against any demonstration and that violators will be persecuted.
The statement read in part “The Rivers State Government hereby wish to inform the general public that all forms of protests have been banned throughout the State. Therefore, all proposed protests under #EndSars Campaign are hereby prohibited.
“Government took this decision because the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had already scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. Therefore, there is no need for any form of protest against a Unit of the Police Force that no longer exists.
We earlier reported that Nigerian protesters have started trending 5for5 to push for a new demand after the government banned the Special Anti-Robbery Squad
