Former Big Brother Naija housemate, born Oluwarise Deborah Ebun, popularly known as DebieRise, has revealed that her father, who is a pastor, conducted deliverance for her, after her return from the reality TV show in South Africa. Debie Rise reveals.
Recall that shortly after the show, the singer cum reality TV Star had revealed that her father didn’t approve of her participation in the highly controversial reality TV show, so she had to run away from home to participate.

Debie Rise reveals
During the show, her father called Big Brother, demanding that the singer be sent back to Nigeria. When asked if she wanted to go back, Debie said “no!”.
Many people worried for her after the show ended, and luckily, when she called him upon her return to Nigeria, her father reaffirmed his love for her.
However, the ordained pastor took his disgust for the reality TV show to a new high. The singer said her father went as far as conducting a deliverance session for the singer, by laying hands on her to ‘cast out’ things he assumed she must have gotten during her stay at the house.
But in a recent chat with Channels TV, the Kogi State born said: “I ran away from the house, that was mean but I knew what I wanted. When Popsi found out, it wasn’t funny, I had to assure him that at the end of the competition, people will congratulate him for being a good dad.”

She said time in the house was not without controversy and this caused friction on the home front.
Speaking further, the ‘Cunny Cunny’ crooner said she still gets called out by critics who have different expectations of her as a preacher’s daughter.
She added: “When I came home they asked me to kneel down so they can cast everything from me but at the end of the day, I have heard so many women say, I want my daughter to be like Debie Rise. I thank God for how everything turned out.”
Also speaking with Entertainment News on Channels Television, Debie Rise explained that a church should help an entertainer to be better.
“The whole reason for church, the whole reason for the upbringing that we have is not just for yourselves, it is actually because there should be cases where you have to apply the discipline in a larger world and with more people.

“However, in entertainment, it is almost impossible not to lead people astray, I don’t think they are worlds apart. The church should help an entertainer to be a better entertainer,” she added.
