-
Host on Spaces will now be able to record and share the broadcasts of their conversation in a tweet
-
The functionality is already being rolled out to a small number of Spaces Host on iOS and the rest will be able to access it within the next few weeks
Twitter has announced that it will now host on Spaces to record and share their broadcast as tweets.
The feature is currently being rolled out to a limited number of Spaces hosts on iOS and will be available to others within the next few weeks.
The new functionality will allow people who were absent from a Spaces broadcast to access the conversation even after it has ended.
This means that tweets that are used to promote the Spaces broadcast will also contain a link that will lead to the broadcast, rather than the previous note- “Spaces broadcast has ended”.
Also, when entering a Spaces where recording has been turned on, participants will be informed that the conversation is being recorded.
Once the broadcast is concluded, hosts will then have access to recordings for 30 days to be shared as tweets.

The users can also choose to delete the broadcasting recording at any time.
The new recording option comes just a week after Twitter opened up Spaces to all iOS and Android users.
