Twitter Launches Amazing Bitcoin Tipping Feature

Twitter announced on Thursday that will begin allowing users to tip their favorite content creators on the platform with Bitcoin.

The full feature is set to launch this week after a beta testing phase created in May to help creators earn money for their content.

According to the company’s latest update, the feature will first roll out to iPhone users from this week and then will be extended to Android users in the coming weeks.

Formerly, users could only tip in fiat currency using payment platforms like Venmo and CashApp but with the integration of Strike, creators can earn in Bitcoin.

The company will also allow creators to add their Bitcoin addresses to send their Bitcoin tips without taking a cut of the money.

The integration of Bitcoin into Twitter’s tip has been awaited for a long time, seeing as Jack Dorsey the founder is a strong supporter of Bitcoin.

Jack Dorsey had also hinted about this last month, stating that the microblogging platform was looking at integrating Bitcoin.

On Thursday also, Twitter announced that it was about to launch a feature that will allow users to display their NFT collection on the platform.

It doesn’t end there, the company also announced that it was working on a creator’s fund to allow users who host Spaces audio to receive funds.

This comes less than a year after Space, an audio virtual room was debuted on the platform.
