Meta, the parent company of Facebook has announced that its research team is developing a new artificial intelligence supercomputer that will be the fastest in the world.
In a recent blog post that was released on Monday, the company disclosed that the computer will build better AI models that can learn from trillions of examples, work across several languages, and analyze text and media.
The company claims that its currency research will provide more safety to users on its services both now and in the future.The development comes only a few months after the social media giant changed its name to Meta to reflect its new ambitions and switch of focus to the Metaverse.
The metaverse itself refers to a world of virtual environments that can be accessed by people through various devices, allowing them to work, play and socialize.

A Meta spokesperson has revealed that the company collaborated with teams from Nvidia Corp, Pure Storage Inc, and Penguin Computing Inc to build the computer.
The tech giant also claims that the computer could be fully developed and ready to be put to work by the middle of this year.
