Elon Musk ordered to delete tweet

The CEO of the car company, Elon Musk has also been accused of threatening workers’ benefits via a tweet in May 2018.

Musk tweet which can be seen below said that “nothing is stopping the Tesla team from voting Union… He then added, “why pay union dues and give up stock options for nothing?”.

Tesla argued that the tweet wanted to point out that union members from other automakers didn’t have access to stock options.

NLRB chairman, Wilma Liebman opposed this, saying that Tesla Employees are likely to see it in a different light.

Liebman argued that employees are going to believe that stock options will no longer be available to them if they vote.

As part of the ruling, the labor board ordered Tesla to reinstate the fired staff and mentions and all planned disciplinary actions must be deleted from his file.

The company is also expected to pay earnings and other benefits in full.
