Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi has suggested that the youths should not allow any politician above 60 to become the President.

The Ekiti State Governor said this amid speculations that APC Chieftain, Bola Tinubu was set to run for Presidency in 2023.
Since the conclusion of the 2019 General Elections, Tinubu has hinted severally that he may run for Presidency in 2023, although he is yet to officially declare it.

Political figures in APC see Tinubu as the ideal candidate and have launched campaigns to put him in a positive light.
While speaking at a Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) conference in Abuja, Fayemi advised youths to take things into their hands and stop candidates above 60 from becoming President.
The Presidential election frontrunners that are above this age milestone are Tinubu, who turns 69 on March 29, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar (74).

The Ekiti state governor who is also a member of APC suggested that Nigerian have suffered enough and it was time for youths to take charge.

The governor also advised Nigerians that the Election was the best means for change and not by protesting after the harm has been done.
