Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo AKA Sunday Igboho has said that he is going to open up the border in the South-west to allow the entry of food items.
Igboho stated this while revealing that he was tired of the government’s antics, declaring that the Yoruba tribe is no longer under Nigeria.
The activist claimed that he was speaking on behalf of the Yoruba people and the tribe was ready for whatever was to come.
Nigerian shares a border with Benin (Seme border) in the South-western part of the country. Traders from Benin bring their goods through the border to Nigeria, as it is cheaper than the Nigerian-produced crops.
The exchange at the border has been stopped since President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the closure of all land borders in Nigeria.
