Plot To Counter #ENDSARS Protest With #ProSARS Protest Revealed

Report trending on social media has revealed that a ProSARS plan to counter the campaign for the end of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad #ENDSARS may have been uncovered and it is being promoted with the hashtag #ProSARS.

Many internet users privy to the information are asserting the Nigerian Police hierarchy maybe behind the plot to pitch the #ENDSARS protesters with a counter #ProSARS protest. It isallegedly being hatched in key Northernern States and would be led by Northernern youths hired by those behind the scheme.

It is well know that illegal arrest and torture by operatives of SARS is less and in some places almost nonexistent compared to the Sourthern part of Nigeria where many have been killed and dislodged of their cash for unknown crimes. This according to report is why Northerners may easily by into the #ProSARS protest.

Naija.FM could not independently verify these claims from any reliable source and the police leadership are yet to respond to these claims.

Yoruba actor and Producer Toyin Abrahams have asked if she cannot promote her movie in peace as fans condemned her for promoting her new movie sequels instead of lending her voice to the #ENDSARS protest making waves around the country.

In the wake of the campaign against police brutality being perpetrated by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) a unit of the Nigerian Police Force, social media influencers as well as entertainment celebrities has used their large followings and popularity to heighten the call to put an end to SARS.

On Thursday 8 of October, 2020 music starts like Runtown, Falz and Tiwas Savage joined a large group of protesters  who marched from Ikeja Under Bridge to the Lagos State Assembly to deliver a protest letter to the Speaker of the House.

We reported earlier that IGP had banned SARS operatives and other tactical force from rountine stop and search. Naija.FM also published a report of how Wizkid and Buhari’s aide engaged themselves on Twitter over the #ENDSARS. In the same vain, former president Abubakar Atiku also responed to the call to ENDSARS
