Rescue operations are ongoing to save survivors of a tower block that collapsed at the Ikoyi area of Lagos on Monday.
The 21 Storey building collapsed while it was under construction and authorities have confirmed the death of 5 people with many more missing.
At the time of this report, Lagos State Emergency Service, LASEMA has confirmed that seven people trapped in the rubbles of the Ikoyi building collapse have been rescued.

Dozens of relatives have been waiting at the collapsed building site to find out if their loved ones survived the incident.
Despite heavy rainfall on the night that followed the crash, rescue workers and locals used floodlights powered by generators to work into the night.

According to an eyewitness who recounted to BBC, a heavy tremor was noticed around 2:25 pm on Monday, and the building came down after.
At the moment, authorities cannot ascertain the number of people that are still trapped in the collapsed building.
