Occupy Lekki TollGate Protest Will Not Be Allowed- Lagos Police
-The Lagos State Police Command has announced that there will be no room for the “Occupy Lekki Tollgate” protest.
-The Commissioner of Police also stated that protest will not be allowed in any part of the state
-They claim that a protest will be counterproductive to investigations after the destruction of the #EndSars protests
The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu has announced that the “Occupy Lekki Tollgate” protest will not be allowed.
While speaking to the press on Thursday 11th February 2021, the CP stated that the decision was made for the benefit of the people.
He added that any protest at this moment will be counterproductive to investigations being carried out about the #EndSars protest.
CP Odumosu went on to say that the command has received intelligence about some hoodlums planning to cause mayhem if a protest is started.

Another reason that was listed for the banning of protests is the situation with Covid-19. He said that a gathering of such a large number will cause the virus to spread rapidly across the state.w
He encouraged parents to warn their children to stay at home and avoid disrupting peace across the state.
The police command is prepared to tackle any violent protest that is staged in any part of the state.
The “Occupy Lekki Tollgate” protest a scheduled to hold at Lekki Tollgate to prevent the reopening of the tollgate.
