NIMC: You Can Now Get Your NIN Directly From MTN, Glo, and Others

-People without a National Identification number can now get one from their service provider.

-NIMC made this disclosure at one of their centers on Tuesday

-The move was made to reduce the crowd at registration centers

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has licensed service providers to provide customers with National Identification Numbers.

While speaking to a crowd on Tuesday afternoon, Director-General of NIMC, Aliyu Aziz said that people can now get their NIN from service providers such as MTN, GLO, and Airtel.

Mr. Aziz also revealed that some other private and public institutions had been licensed to provide the NIN.

The move was made to reduce the constant large gathering at registration centers in this period.

In addition, workers of the National Identity Management Commission recently protested against the poor working condition of the organization.

The initial deadline for NIN linking was December 30th but it had to be extended because a large number of people had not registered.
