
Nigerian Soldiers Wreck Havoc in Oshodi Over Killing of Air Force Personnel
Many commuters and residents of Oshodi Lagos hurriedly ran for safety after an alleged face-off between hoodlums and some Nigerian soldiers on Thursday morning. This incident occurred at Mosafejo area in Oshodi.
Based on Daily Trust report, the military personnel stormed Oshodi, to take revenge of the death of a Nigerian Air Force officer, who was allegedly mobbed to death by Oshodi hoodlums.
Several commercial vehicles were damaged as many bus drivers lefttheir vehicles and traders abandoned their shops to save their lives.
Another source reported that, the uniformed officer was found dead, and the act was suspected to be performed by the hoodlums, so some military personnel were deployed to the area to obtain the corpse and clear out the criminals hideout.
However, the cause of the unrest hasn’t been confined as many commuters around Oshodi area were stranded in the early hours of Thursday.
The Lagos Police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi stated that, the Police is already investigating on the cause of conflict.
The Lagos State Police Command was aware of the conflict that happened on the early hours of Thursday 20th May, 2021 at 7am. However, normalcy has been restored in those areas, and the the issue is already under investigation.

The police stated that, “
We urge Lagosians to go about their lawful businesses in those areas and in the state generally. There’s no cause for alarm.”
Also, Mr Adejobi said that, the Police operatives have already been deployed to the area for “intensive patrol” and to prevent any chaos.
