The Federal Government of Nigeria says it has opened discussion with the China to have access to COVID-19 vaccines.
This was disclosed after the Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs met with his Chinese counterpart on a working visits in Abuja
Nigeria has a long history of bilateral partnership with the Chinese government and now banking on their goodwill to get COVID-19 vaccines
The Nigerian government would be relying on the People’s Republic of China for COVID-19 vaccines for her citizens.
According to the Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, disclosed this yesterday while briefing reporters in Abuja after a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.
Mr Wang, is in Nigeria on a working visit and the Nigeria minister said part of the agenda raised was the possibility of China supplying Nigeria COVID-19 vaccines.

Onyeama recalled that the Chinese government as always provided vital support to Nigeria since the pandemic started.
The minister further stated that the Nigerian government intends to establish direct link with China and hopefully have a Nigerian carrier flying to China.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that the Nigerian government has directed all telecommunication operators to deregister all SIM cards
that are not synchronized with the National Identity Number (NIN) by December 30th 2020.
