Elijah Odeh, the Kano barber that was arrested for blasphemy has been released.
Odeh hails from Adum East, in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State.
We reported that the Court refused to release Elijah despite an intervention from Governor Ortom
He was reported and arrested in Kano state when residents claimed that he was giving customers haircuts that go against Islam.
Odeh finally got his freedom at the hands of the same lawyer who refused to grant him bail last month.
Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Abba Moro confirmed the news in a released statement on Wednesday.
The senator added that Elijah was wrongly arrested but it was great news to have him released.
Senator Moro also claimed that he will not let any member of his constituent suffer unjustly in any part of the country.
He finally thanked Governor Ortom and everyone who played a role in setting Elijah free.
