JUST IN: Gov Akeredolu sacks Attorney General

The Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has sacked the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kola Olawoye.

Not long after announcing his sack, Rotimi Akeredolu announced the appointment of a human rights lawyer, Charles Titiloye as a replacement for kola Olawoye. The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye on Monday.

According to the statement, Titiloye’s name would soon be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for confirmation. The statement quoted the Ondo State governor expeessing his gratitude to the former commissioner for the services he rendered to the state whilst he served.

The governor also wished Kola Olawoye success in his future endeavours.

Nevertheless, it was reported that the sack of the former commissioner, Kola Olayiwola was not unconnected with an alleged cold war between him and the governor.
