
A speeding commercial bus lost control and run into ttwo roadside traders and a pregnant woman at Rumuodar junction, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in River state.
It was reported that the driver of the bus was being cased by a fellow driver whom he had offended prior the drive and in the process, he lost control of his steering and ran into some traders and people standing by the roadside.

A lady, a petrol attendant who was a witness said a heavily pregnant woman was among the victims, she explained that the incident happened around 6pm on Saturday.
“A pregnant woman and two traders were badly injured” the female petrol attendant explained.
It was also reported that the pregnant woman was on the ground motionless for a while before she was later rushed to a hospital by the people, alongside the other two victims.
Another witness, a tricycle rider confirmsd that one of the victims who he rushed to the hospital had been confirmed dead. He explained that a sharp object had pierced through the victim’s neck.
After the accident had happened, the driver of the said commercial bus rushed to the other bus that was chasing him and seized the driver’s key before policemen from Okporo division came and arrested them.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the incident and explained that the two drivers were in the police custody.
