The latest announcement says Universities cannot go below 120 as their cut off mark
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that a new cut off mark will be adopted for higher institutions for 2021 admissions.
The Registrar of the Board, Professor Is-haq Oloyede discussed this while speaking at a policy meeting on Tuesday, August 31 in Abuja.
According to the new policy, universities are not allowed to go below 120 while polytechnics and Colleges of Education are expected to have a minimum cutoff mark of 100.
This announcement means that tertiary institutions across the country will not have a uniform cutoff mark.
During the meeting, it was agreed that the maximum fee for Post–Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination fee should not exceed N2, 000.
JAMB registrar, Oloyede also warned institutions to not go above the specified fee.

“Nobody should charge more than N2,000. The total gross is N2, 000. It is not allowed by institutions to allow candidates to procure administrative charges.”
He also warned them against demanding results from students but rather encouraged universities to use one uploaded by JAMB.
