The Attorney-General of the Nigeria and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami disclosed that the IPOB leader was arrested in the UK and extradited to Nigeria on Sunday.

Malami disclosed that Kanu will be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja to face charges on crimes bordering terrorism and felony
The Federal government has arrested the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
The news was disclosed by the Attorney General of Nigeria Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN to journalists on Tuesday.
The Minister of Justice disclosed that the IPOB leader was arrested and extradited to Nigeria on Sunday.
Kanu’s arrest was made possible following a collaborative effort between the police in Nigeria and Interpol.

Malami further stated that Nnamdi Kanu will be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
He is going to be facing charges bordering on crimes including terrorism, felony, and possession of firearms.
54-years-old Nnamdi Kanu is the founder and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement, an organization that aims to create an independent state for the Eastern region.
