
Federal Government Warns 6 States To Prepare For The Absence Of Rain
-The Federal Government has warned 6 states to prepare for drought in 2021
– Parts Northern states such as Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Yobe, and Borno are expected to experience severe dry spells.
-The government has advised farmers in those areas to adopt soil moisture conservation techniques
The Federal Government has warned some northern states that there will be a severe drought this year.
The Minister of Aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika disclosed this in Abuja while speaking at the Seasonal Climate Prediction.

He told farmers in States such as Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Yobe, and Borno to prepare for rainfall absence from June to July 2021.
The minister advised farmers in these areas to employ moisture conservation techniques during the period to prevent loss of crops.
The minister also informed farmers that the onset of planting season is likely to come sooner this year in most parts of the country.
He revealed that the earliest onset date will be March 1 in some areas while the latest will come on June 29th.
